Station Park Green, San Mateo CA

Next to Hayward Park Station in San Mateo CA – south of San Francisco peninsula – a 600-units mixed-use development embracing a new neighborhood park will transform a former K-Mart site into a green living community. The Specific Plan and Design Guidelines prepared for developer EBL&S was endorsed in 2011 giving the green light for the project’s implementation. The plan focuses on a high quality public realm with park, gardens and streets designed to create a unified and integrated network. The place will provide a unique sustainable living choice in San Mateo as well as bringing new amenities for the surrounding community. Station Park Green participated to USGBC’s LEED ND Pilot Process launched in 2007 and was one of the first projects in the US to achieve LEED ND Gold recognition.
